Ethics in Technology (Tech TL.EA 5.01)

Tech class students are exploring ethics.. what's right, what's not good, in using technology tools.  Using the standards and rubrics in each level we have explored the topics of staying safe on the Internet, and being responsible for using the tools professionally.

TL.EA 1.04    Identifies possible personal and moral dangers associated with Internet use and demonstrates techniques for using the Internet safely. (e.g. harassment, identity, etc.)
TL.EA 2.01    Demonstrates appropriate use of copyright (I.e. open source, and shareware documents, Internet files etc.) and software to meet educational needs.
TL.EA 3.01    Demonstrates legal and ethical behaviors among peers, family, and community regarding the use of technology and information while also helping to improve others work.
TL.EA 4.01    Design and teach a lesson for a targeted group of students exploring the legal and ethical uses of technology.
TL.EA 5.01    Share public content regarding copyright and copyright free material.
TL.EA 6.01    Explore intellectual property lawsuits and determine potential impact on the future.
In class, we have gone over numerous resources and ideas on how to show mastery.  Students are currently working on projects (due in 2 weeks or less) that they can do individually or in teams.
Here's a great resources, for the upper-level students, on copywrite.
