How will YOU avoid harmful substances? It’s easy to get caught up in the crowd, wanting to fit in, and being persuaded to do things you might not normally try. Having a plan, ahead of time, can really help; or avoiding the situation all together. Find out where you’re going, who will be there, and what things are kids doing. “Hanging out” with friends is great… but what type of friends are you choosing… ones that are fun and help you be your best… or ‘friends’ who pressure you into things that may be harmful for you or worse… dangerous. It’s your choice. Decide how much you like yourself and are willing to stand up for what you believe BEFORE the situations come up.
This Unit will walk you through, step-by-step in looking up information and creating a plan, as well as recording your progress and then evaluating/refining it.
