Teen Health (PSS SL.HL 3.03)

We all know that what you eat makes a difference on your mood and how much energy you have to get through the day.    Many teens resort to ‘quick fixes’, using energy boosters or something you can easily eat or drink to give you lots of energy fast, without stopping to consider the long-term affect this has on your body.

In this standard, you are asked to stop and pause; thinking about nutrition, your body’s sexual development; and possible substance abuses.

PSS SL.HL 3.03 Investigates the emotional and physical changes related to positive and negative nutritional issues (i.e., eating disorders)
PROFICIENT = * Describes feelings that surface after making nutritional choices
* Identifies characteristics of emotional intelligence development with regards to sexual maturity
* Investigates life changes that stem from substance abuse
