We explored different points of view of various topics, classwide, for fun. Since there is no "right" or "wrong" answer, we defended our individual point of view, preparing for future debates on tpics. Next, we looked at a publication by Scholastic, "UpFront" that gave information on topics. Groups decided what point of view the article would like you to believe, based on the information given. The articles included:
Article #1: The Election: What’s at Stake (p.9)
Article #2: The Death Penalty Debate (p. 14)
Article #3: Growing Up Saudi (p. 20)
Article #4: 1959: The Cuban Revolution (p. 24)
Article #5: What Filling Up Really Costs (p. 6)
For students who missed this activity, attached are the questions each group answered.
